Friday Family Walking Group – Allen Brook Nature Trail, Williston, VT – 9:00am-2:00pm – Join them for a FREE Friday morning walk or stroll led by parent educator Eileen Barendse! The weather is warming up, the birds are chirping, and the walking path is snow-free! Bring your sneakers, strollers, scooters, or bikes and come enjoy the fresh spring air. They will be out, rain or shine, chasing shadows or puddles. Come meet other families with young children and a love for the outdoors. Mother’s Day Pansy Giveaway – Horseford Nursery, Charlotte, VT – 8:30am-4:30pm – Make plans to visit the nursery on Mother’s Day weekend for their annual Mother’s Day Pansy Giveaway. Mother’s Day Pop Up – St. Johnsbury Welcome Center, St. Johnsbury, VT – 10:00am-2:00pm – The first pop-up of the season is here—and it’s a Mother’s Day celebration! Peacham Lavender Farm + Ringo the Flower Truck are teaming up to bring you stunning lavender bouquets and newly launched beauty and wellness products.

Johnson Mother’s Day Market – Foote Brook Farm, Johnson, VT – 11:00am-3:00pm – Come shop for Mom! Hanging flower baskets, flower planters, veggie starts, potted flowers, perennials, and all the specialty farm stand favorites. Spaghetti Dinner – St. Albans Town Education Center, St. Albans, VT – 5:00-7:00pm – Support St. Albans Town Firefighters Association at their annual Drive Thru Service Only Spaghetti Dinner.

A Mother’s Day Concert – Alexander Twilight Theater at VSU – Lyndonville, VT – 3:00-4:30pm – Presented by: Northeast Kingdom Community Orchestra. Artistic Director: Jason Bergman. Guest Conductor: Lou Kosma. Featuring works by: Rimsky-Korsakov, Johann Strauss, Wagner, Amadeus Mozart, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Hughie Cannon, Edward German. Featuring a performance by the Catamount Arts EPIC Music string ensemble! Admission by donation.

Folino’s Summer Concert Series on the Patio – Folino’s Pizza, Northfield, VT – 6:00-8:00pm – Kick off your summer evenings with fresh air, live music, and the Vermont’s best pizza at the free Summer Concert Series on the patio. Family-friendly, featuring local artists, and crisp libations. The perfect way to unwind with the community while enjoying a Vermont summer evening. In the event of rain, the music is cancelled.

Community Luau Party – The Grange, Milton, VT – 6:00-9:00pm – The Burlington North VECN is hosting a Community Luau Party and would love to see you there. This is a family friendly event with dancing, music, dessert, and a chance to connect with others in the community. You are also invited to bring a snack to share and dress in your favorite luau attire if you would like.

North Country Honor Run – US Oval, Plattsburgh, NY – The North Country Honor Run organized by Beekmantown students and other runners raised over 35-thousand dollars last year to support North Country Honor flights to Washington, D.C. for Veterans.  The run is open to all and all donations are welcome.  Learn more at www.runsignup.com/NorthCountryHonorRun or on Facebook. The run takes place on the U-S Oval in Plattsburgh, alongside an Honor Flight send-off to the nation’s capital.

Benefit Ride for Williams Syndrome – Champlain Valley Union high School – 9:00am – Vermont V-Twins Cruisers are holding a Benefit Ride for Williams Syndrome, a rare disease affecting one in 10,000 people. All ages, all walks of life. Registration is at CVUHS in the back parking lot starting at 9:00am. Kickstands at 11:00am; ride ends at 3:00pm. Spaghetti Dinner – 5809 Route 100, North Hyde Park, VT – 4:00-6:00pm – The North Hyde Park-Eden Fire Department is having a spaghetti dinner. All are welcome. Dinner is by donation for those attending.

Ongoing: The American Red Cross is always looking for blood donations—accepting donors at the Blood Donation Center at 32 North Prospect Street in Burlington 365 days a year and conducting Blood Drives on both sides of Lake Champlain throughout the year.  For more information, or to locate a blood drive in your community, visit RedCrossBlood.org.
