Central Vermont Career Centers’ Trades Fair – 155 Ayers Street, Barre, VT – 5:30-7:30pm – This event is open to the public! Stop in and check out all the amazing programs CVCC has to offer along with booths from local businesses. Programs will be showing off what they have accomplished this year, and local businesses will be connecting with potential future employees. CVCC’s silent auction will feature items crafted by students, highlighting their craftsmanship and skills. Proceeds will be used to support scholarship funds at CVCC. The Central Vermont Career Center is the first step to an exciting career! Wednesday, May 9th
Cardboard Kids – Winooski Library, Winooski, VT – 3:30-4:30pm – Join us each Thursday this spring at the Winooski Library for a cardboard-themed makerspace for youth! Each week will feature a simple cardboard craft for young creators to work collaboratively or independently on. We’ll also have time for playing with our designs.

- Recommended for youth ages 5+
- Drop-in: no registration required.
- Youth 9 and under must be with an adult caregiver.
Materials, including kid-safe cutting tools, will be provided. Feel free to bring an extra box to add to our collection!
Gold Star Dog Training – Milton Library, Milton, VT – This popular, long-running dog communication and safety lecture is a multi-media extravaganza of fun where the audience also gets to test their “dog reading” skills. We’ll demystify dog communication, reveal some common dog-human misunderstandings, and explore how we can all live safely and happily together. NOTE: This is for humans only. Capital City Farmer’s Market – 133 State Street, Montpelier, VT – 9:00am-1:00pm – Shop every Saturday all summer long at the Capital City Farmer’s Market. Locally produced meats, cheeses, vegetables, flowers, maple, honey and more, with the benefit of the farmer available to answer all your questions – how they produce their crop, and how to prepare and serve it, Prepared foods galore, crafts, and live music make this a weekly experience.
Burlington Farmer’s Market – 345 Pine Street, Burlington, VT – 9:00am-2:00pm – Located in the South End, the Burlington Farmers Market is a community and tourist destination event. It is the he perfect place for breatkfast or lunch, and stocking up on fresh produce for the week.
More than 90 stands overflow with seasonal produce, flowers, artisan wares, prepared foods, and more. People gather to wander around, chat with growers and friends, and fill their baskets with some of the best food money can buy.
Like many places in Burlington, dogs are always welcome but must be kept on a leash. They have a wide range of products from farmers selling preserves and fresh vegetables, fruits, fresh meats, cheeses, maple syrup, honey and eggs. They have ethnic foods utilizing local ingredients and we have crafters selling everything from jewelry, handcrafted metal products, pottery and children’s clothing

It Takes a Village – State House Lawn, Montpelier, VT – 12:00-4:00pm – Come join the community as we re-build the village of support and celebrate families within central Vermont. Opening statements are at 12:15. There will be a Family Resources Information Fair, games and activities, a Parent and Caregivers’ Wellness Tent, and infant care station and car seat safety check provided by the Vermont Department of Health. Delicious food will be offered by The Taco Shell, Mo’s Backyard BBQ and Woodbelly Pizza.
Spaghetti Supper – St. Albans Town Educational Center, 169 Main Street, St. Albans, VT – 5:00-7:00pm – The St. Albans Town Firefighters Association will be holding their Annual Spaghetti Supper. $10 per meal which includes spaghetti with homemade meat sauce, garlic bread, and fresh side salad. The event will be drive through again this year.
Tuesday, May 14th
Craftytown at South Burlington Public Library – 180 Market Street, South Burlington, VT – 3:00-4:30pm – Each event features a different kind of activity. All are welcome, and no pre-registration is necessary. Projects are geared to kids ages 8 and up, or ages 6 and up with an adult helper. A reminder that only kids in grades 5 and up can come to the library without a grown-up. Kids in grades 4 and younger need to come with an adult. Join us for arts and craft fun! A finished project can be taken home after every session.
